Somatic Therapy (Online)

Somatic Therapy (Online) takes place via Zoom. It is an approach to healing that is rooted in the interconnection between our body and mind. From a somatic perspective, our body carries the imprint of our past experiences, beliefs, and emotions. When we have experienced stress or trauma, these imprints get held as tensions and holding patterns in the body.

My approach to Somatic Therapy combines Hakomi Therapy, a mindfulness based somatic therapy and other body-orientated psychotherapeutic approaches to access these imprints in the body and support the unravelling of these holding patterns back to a sense of safety and belonging.

Somatic Therapy (Online) FAQ

What to expect in an Online Somatic Therapy session?

We begin the Somatic Therapy session with a consultation which allows us to get clear on what your needs are. Through the integration of body-centred psychotherapeutic approaches and mindfulness practices, clients are invited into a space whereby they can feel, understand and release tensions in holding patterns in the body and explore core beliefs and feelings that may be holding these patterns together. It is a collaborative process in supporting you in accessing your own self-healing capacities and listening more deeply to your own wisdom and intuition within your body. Together, we discover the resources needed to resolve trauma, increase resilience to stress and deepen the connection to self and the relationships we have in our lives. At the end of the session, I offer somatic resources to support the integration process.
